The current champions of the Italian Serie A, Juventus have signed Gonzalo Higuain for a league record fee of £75.3m. The Argentine forward becomes the world’s third most expensive player.
Higuain moves from fellow Italian side Napoli on a four-year contract with the Serie A champions worth £6.3m per season. He passed a medical in Madrid last Friday after Juventus agreed to pay his full release clause amount.

The 28-year-old’s purchase is behind that of Real Madrid duo of Cristiano Ronaldo (£80m from Manchester United) and Gareth Bale (£85m from Tottenham Hotspurs).
He becomes Juventus’s fifth signing of the summer following the acquisitions of Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves, Medhi Benatia and Marko Pjaca by manager Massimiliano Allegri.
Higuain, who has in the past had attracted interest from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, joined Napoli from Real Madrid in 2013 and had two years remaining on his contract in Naples.
He ended the last season as the top scorer in Serie A with 36 goals, having bagged 91 goals in 146 appearances for Napoli.
